Forever Green was "sprouted" from a second-generation family farm that was looking to do something innovative. The farm is located in the center of British Columbia in the Bulkey Valley in Vanderhoof. The town of Vanderhoof is primarily a forestry, mining and agricultural fueled community.
The family farm of 40 years had seen surrounding farms and other multi-generation farms come to a end due to lack of financial viability and no interest from the next generation. It seemed that other opportunities needed to be pursued in order to create a positive change from crops like hay which tend to have a highly variable market price. The hemp vision of the family farm now needed to become a reality. The farm was able to start testing the crop conditions in the north to see if industrial hemp was a viable crop for the area.
